Hiking trails, Fort Carre, beaches...

There are many hiking trails. The trail of the “Chemin des Contrebandiers” – the “tour around the Cap d’Antibes” overlooks the sea and offers an extraordinary panorama. It is suitable for families who want to discover small coves and breathe in the sea air. It is however to be avoided when the sea is agitated.

The younger guests will enjoy visiting the Fort Carré, near the Port Vauban. Located on the Saint-Roch peninsula, the Fort Carré is built 26 meters above the water, on a rock, which will offer you one of the most beautiful panoramas of the area.

The city has many beaches, amongst others the “Garoupe”, the beach of the “Pont du Lys“, the “Les Ondes” on the Cap d’Antibes and the Fort Carré for example, but also the “Gallice“. Numerous beach sports are available and you can also discover the seabed. The protected area of the Graillon is one of the most interesting. Located around the islands of Lérins and the Golf of Juan-les-Pins, it has a rich fauna and flora: wreck, posidonia, caves with a depth of nearly 20 m in some places!
