Last year, the Port Vauban decided to offer dedicated spaces to food trucks in order to respond to its customers specific needs but focusing on frenquently changing the provider.

This year, the concept is slighly different: a real restaurant in a sea container, located on the Gravette’s Square for a few months.

This immobility allows the owners to offer a better concept: “we can benefit from the area’s strenghts and invest in nice furniture for example” explains Sabhira Rahmani, owner of the Brigade by R who won the public solicitation. 12 tables on shaded terrace, standing tables and a lovely lounge area for those in need to relax facing this amazing view.

A versatile venue, perfect to satisfy the public expectations. “Thanks to the opening of this beach, we could work on a different offer. We open at 10:30am with a breakfast session: fresh juice and pastries. Then we have a real lunch menu with special dishes from the Chef each day and some house signatures meals (slice of meat for example). We usually finish the day serving tapas until 10pm“.

Sabhira is pretty concerned by the environmental impact of his business. “Our packaging is biodegradable. Everything that we serve is made in our kitchen – short cycle“.

A generous culinary offer thanks to a Chef with 35 years of experience, previous owner of La Bamba in Juan-les-Pins, who ensures service 7 days a week.

Sabhira has also other ideas. He is currently working hand in hand with the Port Vauban events team in order to arouse interest. “We thought about hiring a musical band, hosting some art exhibitions or organizing some sport compétitions for example“.

From Nice, Sahbira is running the business with his wife after a successful Professional reconversion about two years ago. Already owner of a food truck in Cannes, this passionate: “It is quite simple, I got it from my mother. I love cooking, eating and Customer support“.

Prospective visitors, get ready!

Mathilde, Sabhira and their team are waiting for you every day from 10:30am on the Gravette beach.
