Successful first edition at Port Vauban for the fishing and water leisure fair.

On this very first edition at the Port Vauban, the “Salon de la Pêche et des Loisirs Aquatiques” (Fishing & Aquatic Recreational Show) was celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2019. This year’s edition lasting 3 full days was a nice start : 11 432 visitors, 300 competitors (kayak, rock fishing, surf casting, barracuda tour, etc) and 57 scuba-diving baptisms were delivered by the “Be Free to Dive” organization from Villeneuve Loubet.

The organizers and their loyal 25 volunteers can be proud of their ambitious choice of location after organizing the show in Cagnes-sur-Mer for numerous years. 125 professionals declared being 80% satisfied by the event format and commit to next year’s edition!

This trial in Antibes was a very good start for us. We had the opportunity to network with interesting professionals, especially during fishing trips. That is crucial to us. We get closer to our market being on the Port Vauban, the result will be even better. I hope that we come back in 2020” explains Franck (FURUNO organization, marine electronics industry).

The Port Vauban is a key actor. A mix of both the fishing and the yachting industries. We also noticed that visitors not only walk around : they are there to get more information about ptoducts and potentially purchase items” says Pascal from the jetski company SEADOO, also distributor of the renowned ZODIAC brand.

This year’s edition was an opportunity to introduce their newest products to customers. One of their start products is a jetski fully dedicated to fishing activities. “The show takes place at the best time of the year. We approached several prospects and realized some sales commitments, which is typically rare during exhibitions“. Pascal is also signing up for the next year’s edition.
